CAPAA String Orchestra Prep

CAPAA String Orchestra Prep is a program for students who are interested in joining CAPAA, but lack the training and skills on a string instrument to prepare an audition. CAPAA staff will come alongside these students to prepare them to join CAPAA Fall 2026. The program includes individual coaching by CAPAA staff, 10 weeks of FREE private lessons with an OCS Arts Center instructor on violin, viola, cello or bass, and FREE All County Summer Orchestra June-July 2026. 

  • WHO? Students 8th-11th grades (2025-26) with little or no experience on a string instrument
  • WHAT? Private lessons FREE OF COST at the Arts Center Spring Quarter 2026 (March-May) + Summer Orchestra, leading to automatic admission to CAPAA String Orchestra Fall 2026.
  • WHEN? Register for CAPAA SO Prep now, and start lessons March 2026. Register now for CAPAA 2026-27 with your school counselor. Continue through the summer with All County Summer Orchestra. Start CAPAA Fall 2026.
